Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Conserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods For World Wildlife Day 2026 is a scientific event dedicated to highlighting the role of medicinal plants within the One Health framework, integrating human, animal, and environmental health. The event will feature oral presentations and poster sessions presenting ongoing research in the fields of medicinal plants, phytochemistry, bioactivity, and sustainability.
By bringing together students, early-career researchers, and senior scientists, the event fosters interdisciplinary dialogue on the sustainable use of medicinal plants, their chemical and biological relevance, and their contribution to current challenges in health, biodiversity, and climate change, strengthening the interface between science, environment, and society.

The dissemination of the project EMDM Bio.Natural was the key topic of the invited speaker and coordinator of this European commission project Patricia Rijo in the "8th Cancer World Congress" in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Patricia Rijo and Vera Isca from ECTS and CBIOS presented their latest research findings at the 8th CWC in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from May 29th to 31st, where they presented their latest research findings in natural products research and their therapeutic applications.
BioNatural Team Advances Erasmus Mundus in Siena, 5-6 december 2024
The BioNatural team met in Siena on December 5 and 6 2024, at the beautiful Certosa di Pontignano to advance the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s application, set for submission in February 2025. This productive meeting saw the refinement of the academic structure, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the program’s focus on natural bioactives. The team also discussed key elements of the curriculum and the partnerships, ensuring a robust and innovative program for future students.
